Rooted in District 9 for Over 30 Years
I’ve called Westport home since 1994. After graduating from Staples High School in 2006—where I founded the Animal Welfare Club—I went on to earn a degree in Conservation Biology from UMass Amherst. My career path has always centered on protecting the environment and building stronger communities, from seasonal conservation work to my current role as a small business owner in sustainable aquaculture.
Today, I run my own oyster catering business and am in the process of building my very own oyster restaurant. I also serve as the volunteer Chair of the Connecticut chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, sit on Senator Chris Murphy’s Long Island Sound Advisory Council, and work with Citizens for Pesticide Reform to keep our neighborhoods safe from harmful chemicals. In addition, I lead an adaptive climbing club at my local gym, making outdoor recreation more accessible to all.
Rooted in Westport for over 30 years, I bring both professional expertise and a deep commitment to service—always working to protect our shared environment, support local food systems, and strengthen the community I’ve grown up in.

Chair
I’ve been part of Surfrider CT’s Executive Committee for eight years and now serve as its volunteer Chair. This grassroots nonprofit works to protect our oceans by passing effective legislation and engaging the community. I organize beach cleanups and events that connect people with Connecticut’s coastline, and I have experience advancing environmental policy at both the state and federal levels.

Owner, Founder
Five years ago, I started my own business, beginning as a small catering operation run out of my truck. Today, it’s blossoming into a brick-and-mortar oyster bar, and I now manage a staff, honing my skills in leadership, finances, and navigating regulations. Through this journey, I’ve learned the value of hard work and following your passion. My business is committed to sustainability and supporting small, local farms and businesses, reflecting the principles I care deeply about.

Coordinator
Along with a small team, I help run a club at my local rock climbing gym for climbers with disabilities. We host monthly meetups at the gym and organize outdoor climbing events throughout the year. I work with adults across a range of diagnoses, and I find genuine joy in sharing my love of climbing with people who inspire me to climb my best, but more importantly, to have fun doing it!
